Safety and health policy is an integral part of NEK’s Internal Commitments and Goals. The company management and the employees are committed to:

• act per requirements of BS OHSAS 18001:2007;

• comply with current legislation and other requirements which are adopted by NEK and pertain to safety and health system as well as fire protection;

• prevent injuries and health detriments and constantly improve the management and performance of safety and health system;

• take reasonable precautions to ensure safety and health at work and fire protection;

• incorporate safety and fire protection improvements in development plans, modifications, annual goals and plant’s Corrective Action Programme – CAP;

• follow and measure nuclear power plant impacts on employees and respond in case of any deviations using the CAP;

• provide for permanent improvements of safety and health and fire protection management;

• educate and train NEK employees and contractual workers in safe fire protection;

• indoctrinate all natural and legal persons who work for NEK on safety and health and fire protection policy;

• ensure access to safety and health and fire protection policy to the interested public.
