Environmental policy is a part of the business strategy of NEK which is an eco-friendly company. We, the plant management and all staff, are committed to:

• acting in compliance with requirements of ISO Standard 14001:2004,

• fulfilling the requirements of valid legislation and other requirements relating to environmental aspects accepted by the plant,

• applying measures for environmental protection, conservation of energy and natural resources as well as maintenance of safe and healthy environment,

• including important environmental aspects into development plans, modifications, annual goals, and the plant’s Corrective Action Program,

• providing for constant upgrading of the environmental management system,

• ensuring waste reduction (radioactive, hazardous, special, and municipal wastes) and its reuse, when possible, by separate waste collection,

• educating and training NEK staff  and those acting on behalf of NEK to behave environmentally responsible,

• sharing the environmental policy with natural and legal persons who work for NEK,

• providing public access to the environmental policy.
