Krško Nuclear Power Plant is back on line

After the plant shutdown on June 4, 2008, the Krško NPP experts have made a thorough analysis of the event. The failure on the isolation valve of the primary system temperature measurement line has been eliminated.

The complete valve on which the sealing had failed has been replaced by a new one. This kind of repair has already been performed, therefore it has been finished earlier than originally planned.

The analysis of the plant condition after shutdown and performed repair has also been completely examined by the Slovenian Nuclear Safety Administration.
They have confirmed that there is no unresolved issue to restart the plant. The plant was connected to the grid today, June 9, 2008, at 15:38.

All information on the actual plant state has been provided to the public throughout the plant shutdown from both the Krško NPP and Slovenian Nuclear Safety Administration with the aim to inform the public quickly and thoroughly.
